INTRODUCTION

Siedah Hampton is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and a 13-year veteran Chicago Police officer.  Siedah provides individual and couples therapy, annual wellness visits in person and telehealth, and the Lombard and Chicago locations.

Siedah started with the Chicago Police Department in 2012 and has worked in various districts, including the Narcotics Division and the United States Postal Task Force. In 2016, Siedah completed her master’s degree in social work at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Siedah has worked as a mental health intern at Deborah’s Place and as a counselor with the Cook County Juvenile Probation Department.   Siedah completed individual and couples therapy as well as wellness visits.

As a law enforcement officer, Siedah has first-hand experience concerning the daily difficulties and pressures that first responders face. She has observed what the effects of untreated trauma and lack of mental health resources on first responders and their families can look like.  She focuses on practical strategies that can help an officer today. She practices evidence-based therapies, including CBT, EMDR, and exposure therapy.

Siedah’s goals are to work with individuals and aid first responders in self-care, healing their relationships, learning healthy coping skills, gaining the ability to resolve conflicts effectively, and communicating effectively with those around them. One of her biggest goals is to help first responders understand how to self-advocate for their needs on and off the job.
